This event is part of the series CRITICAL FRIDAYS. Here, the outdated separation of body, mind and soul is dispensed with and instead questions are asked about embodied cognition and the cognitive powers of the somatic. The focus is on the body as a medium for artistic and ritual practices. We create dialogs with experts from the fields of science, art and care work. Performances, workshops, readings and film screenings serve as a starting point for joint reflections in which an arc is drawn between closeness and distance, between personal experiences and avant-garde cultural theories.
Michaël Reinholds Personas sind laut, verspielt, manchmal mehr Tier und manchmal mehr Kind. Mit präzisem Blick erfasst Reinhold gesellschaftliche Sprach- und Handlungsmuster, die Tabus und unbequeme Gefühle überdecken und eignet sich dieses Körperwissen durch seine Performances an. Mal imitiert er die gesellschaftlichen Muster, mal übertreibt er sie bis ins Unerträgliche. Er hat eine Vielzahl an unterschiedlichen Charakteren und mit ihnen ihre Lebensgeschichten und Welten entwickelt und sie mit persönlichen und kollektiven Details bestückt. Ihre Spuren trägt er nun in sich und bietet ihnen in seinen Performances abwechselnd Platz. Oder ergreifen sie sich vielleicht den Platz an der Oberfläche ganz von selbst? Im Rahmen von Critical Fridays bringt Reinhold alle seine Kunstfiguren mit und führt uns im Dialog mit ihnen an die Rände gesellschaftlicher Konventionen und in unser Unbehagen hinein. In der Selbsthilfegruppe der Anonymen Performer, fragen sie sich, ob eine Heilung und Reintegration in die Gesellschaft für sie überhaupt möglich ist.
