- Attending the NEWBIE INTRO is mandatory for people who want to attend the QUEERING BONDAGE JAM for the first time - regardless of whether they already know bondage jams in general! Tickets for the intro and the jam must be booked separately. -

All too often, bondage games take on heteronormative forms - which is fine, but we want to try out inventive ways of experiencing something completely different.

Queering - as a verb - stands for the desire for a whole spectrum of: questioning, refreshing, making visible, playing, irritating, celebrating, trying out, liquefying, encouraging, expanding, inventing, solidarizing, mixing, standing by oneself, appropriating, becoming, transforming...

At the QUEERING BONDAGE JAMS, we therefore want to give more space to creativity in general by giving an imaginative person the opportunity to inspire others with queer, creative and artistic ideas about bondage at the beginning of each event - after the Newbie Intro, i.e. at 3 pm.

May the fabulous develop!

KEEP IT! - TYING UP WITH STONES

In this edition of the series, artist JADE ESCRIVÁ (pronoun: none / jade) inspires you to play bondage games with stones.

They are so beautifully heavy, smooth, rough, flat, round, cold and warm... We decorate the body with them, support deep relaxation through their coolness or warmth, use them as (un)cozy elements in the bondage, set the bound person special tasks. Ideally, we use everything together and create a session in which we explore the possibilities of playing with stones and ropes without any special knowledge of knots.

So bring lots of fine stones with you!

Who is JADE ESCRIVÁ?

Jade chose beauty at an early age and studied Fine Arts (Bogota), Sculpture (Munich) and Art Education (Bern). Jade is interested in performance and installation and investigates materials that are considered superfluous, particularly disgusting or undesirable in everyday life. Human hair, stones or food that grow unnoticed in the city are transformed into ephemeral sculptures that deal with questions of emancipation
.

Here are some more general facts about tying up...

The Japanese art of bondage is a fascinating physical practice that offers a wide range of physical, mental and emotional experiences. Shibari has much in common with dance, yoga and meditation, and has a performative and a touching aesthetic dimension. The tied and the tied can shape their encounter in a variety of ways, in a trusting play with power and submission, in empathic communication and mutual devotion, in deep connection and intensity. An exciting body art that is worth exploring!

Anyone who would like to tie up together with others, exchange ideas or simply watch and gain some initial experience is cordially invited. The rooms are equipped with suspension points - some with bamboo poles - so that you can also work with suspensions.

We look forward to every visit, from the curious to the professional.

FURTHER INFORMATION

ENTRANCE

Entry is through the garden and the large red door to the studio. Please take off your shoes outside and take them with you through the studio into the kitchenette and changing room. You should only take those items into the studio that you really need to tie up. Drinks are only allowed in the studio in sealable bottles.
There are no fixed entry times for the Bondage Jam, which is open to everyone - you can come and go as you please. Please note the fixed entry times for the WINTA and the QUEER Bondage Jams, as well as for the Newbie Intro, where we want to start together.

DRESS CODE

Rope bondage is bodywork with close body contact and at a bondage jam the atmosphere is a very important aspect. Already for hygienic reasons, but also for aesthetic considerations, we ask you not to participate in street clothes. We recommend at least yoga-style clothing, but even better: it can also be more fanciful, maybe fantastic or weird weird or in your own particular way comfortable – there are no further restrictions to your well-being and creativity. It's also nice to feel the ropes on your skin, therefore clothing is generally optional.

MATERIAL

Please bring all the materials you need for tying yourself - ropes, safety scissors / cutter, carabiner, ring. There are always one or two hanging bamboo poles on site. We also have a few practice ropes for newbies. In principle, however, everyone should have their own equipment.

GENERAL INFORMATION ON THE EVENT

The aims of our events are to learn together as a group and support shared processes as well as personal development. Couples and all other types of partnerships or constellations are welcome, but you should be aware and open to the fact that the courses are not designed as partnership experiences and that we address each person as an individual. For example, in order to include all participants equally, we usually work with random partner combinations in the exercises. This means that there will be both the same and different gender combinations. Participants should generally be open to working with any person and any body. Exceptions can be discussed on a case-by-case basis.

Gender identity, sexual orientation, age or membership of often marginalized groups such as BBIPoC, migrants, refugees, LGBTQIA*, disabled people, etc. are not criteria when registering and selecting participants. This means that, in principle, everyone is equally welcome and we endeavor to do justice to the respective constellation and different needs, but our resources are limited. If you have any questions in this regard, please contact us.

We expect you to be careful, communicative, consent-oriented and mindful, and we encourage you to respect your own boundaries and self-responsibility.
Hate speech will not be tolerated. Please bring "candy speech".
We reserve the right to ask participants to leave the workshop should their behavior be hurtful or too problematic, and we reserve the right to do so without explanation - although we will likely try to explain. Workshop fees would then be refunded in full. Further claims are then excluded.

You can read more about this topic here.
