THE ART OF BINDING WITH ROPES,

... known as Shibari or Kinbaku in Japanese, is a fascinating physical practice that offers a wide range of physical, mental, and emotional experiences. Shibari has much in common with dance, yoga, and meditation, and has a performative and touching aesthetic dimension. Those who bind and those who are bound can shape their encounter in many ways, in a trusting game of power and submission, in empathetic communication and mutual devotion, in deep connection and intensity. An exciting body art that is worth exploring!

A BONDAGE JAM...

...works a bit like a milonga in tango. People come together to tie up together, enjoy sessions, practise, exchange ideas or simply watch and gather first impressions and experiences. There is no fixed structure, the participants are free to come into contact with each other respectfully and openly, to get to know each other and to tie themselves up together.

The studio is equipped with nine suspension points - one of which has a bamboo pole - so that you can also work with suspensions.

We look forward to every visit, from the curious to the professional.

FURTHER INFORMATION

ENTRANCE

Entry is through the garden and the large red door to the studio. Please take off your shoes outside and take them with you through the studio into the kitchenette and changing room. You should only take those items into the studio that you really need to tie up. Drinks are only allowed in the studio in sealable bottles.
There are no fixed entry times for the Bondage Jam, which is open to everyone - you can come and go as you please. Please note the fixed entry times for the WINTA and QUEER Bondage Jams, as well as for the Newbie Intro, where we want to start together.

DRESS CODE

Rope bondage is bodywork with close body contact and at a bondage jam the atmosphere is a very important aspect. Already for hygienic reasons, but also for aesthetic considerations, we ask you not to participate in street clothes. We recommend at least yoga-style clothing, but even better: it can also be more fanciful, maybe fantastic or weird weird or in your own particular way comfortable – there are no further restrictions to your well-being and creativity. It's also nice to feel the ropes on your skin, therefore clothing is generally optional.

MATERIAL

Please bring all the materials you need for tying yourself - ropes, safety scissors / cutter, carabiner, ring. There are always one or two hanging bamboo poles on site. We also have a few practice ropes for newbies. In principle, however, everyone should have their own equipment.

GENERAL INFORMATION ON THE EVENT

The aims of our events are to learn together as a group and to support joint processes as well as personal development. Couples and all other types of partnerships or constellations are welcome, but you should be aware and open to the fact that the courses are not designed as partnership experiences and that we address each person as an individual. For example, in order to include all participants equally, we usually work with random partner combinations in the exercises. This means that there will be both the same and different gender combinations. Participants should generally be open to working with any person and any body. Exceptions can be discussed on a case-by-case basis.

Gender identity, sexual orientation, age or membership of often marginalized groups such as BBIPoC, migrants, refugees, LGBTQIA*, disabled people, etc. are not criteria when registering and selecting participants. This means that, in principle, everyone is equally welcome and we endeavor to do justice to the respective constellation and different needs, but our resources are limited. If you have any questions in this regard, please contact us.

We expect you to be careful, communicative, consent-oriented and mindful, and we encourage you to respect your own boundaries and self-responsibility.
Hate speech will not be tolerated. Please bring "candy speech".
We reserve the right to ask participants to leave the workshop should their behavior be hurtful or too problematic, and we reserve the right to do so without explanation - although we will likely try to explain. Workshop fees would then be refunded in full. Further claims are then excluded.

You can read more about this topic here.
