QUEER BONDAGE JAM ZÜRICH - Pervertibles: Recycling as Kink - with Newbie Intro

  • sihl13 - Zurich 13 Lessingstrasse Zurich, ZH, 8002 Switzerland (map)

- for english use switcher in menu -

- Attending the NEWBIE INTRO is mandatory for people who want to attend the QUEER BONDAGE JAM for the first time - regardless of whether they already know bondage jams in general! Tickets for the intro and the jam must be booked separately. -

All too often, bondage games take on heteronormative forms - which is fine, but we want to try out inventive ways of experiencing something completely different.

Queering - as a verb - stands for the desire for a whole spectrum of: questioning, refreshing, making visible, playing, irritating, celebrating, trying out, liquefying, encouraging, expanding, inventing, solidarizing, mixing, standing by oneself, appropriating, becoming, transforming...

At the QUEER BONDAGE JAMS, we therefore want to give more space to creativity in general by giving an imaginative person the opportunity to inspire others with queer, creative and artistic ideas about bondage at the beginning of each event - after the newbie intro, i.e. at 3 pm.

May the fabulous develop!

Pervertibles: Recycling as a kink

Have you ever tied a tennis racket to someone's face? Or installed an alpine pickaxe in a suspension? No? Simon (pronoun: Simon, in English: they/them) has. "Pervertibles" are objects that are almost poetically stripped of their everyday use and given a new, kinky role in BDSM games. Simon is bringing some of the most exquisite finds from second-hand stores and rummage tables to the Queer Jam and will be showing in a performance how sensual games are created from old junk. Why not bring a few (not too heavy!) objects from your household or workshop? Hammers, toothbrushes, tension belts, hair bands or drinking bottles etc. can inspire your own imagination(s).

Here are some more general facts about tying up...

The Japanese art of bondage is a fascinating physical practice that offers a wide range of physical, mental and emotional experiences. Shibari has much in common with dance, yoga and meditation, and has a performative and a touching aesthetic dimension. The tied and the tied can shape their encounter in a variety of ways, in a trusting play with power and submission, in empathic communication and mutual devotion, in deep connection and intensity. An exciting body art that is worth exploring!

Anyone who would like to tie up together with others, exchange ideas or simply watch and gain some initial experience is cordially invited. The rooms are equipped with suspension points - some with bamboo poles - so that you can also work with suspensions.

We look forward to every visit, from the curious to the professional.

FURTHER INFORMATION

ENTRANCE

At the FINTA BONDAGE JAM and at the QUEER BONDAGE JAM, admission is restricted to specific admission times. The doors are only open at the times mentioned above. Please take your shoes right after entering the sihl13 and go with all your stuff through the atelier into the changing room. Only those things that you really need for bondage should then be taken into the atelier.

DRESS CODE

Rope bondage is bodywork with close body contact and at a bondage jam the atmosphere is a very important aspect. Already for hygienic reasons, but also for aesthetic considerations, we ask you not to participate in street clothes. We recommend at least yoga-style clothing, but even better: it can also be more fanciful, maybe fantastic or weird weird or in your own particular way comfortable – there are no further restrictions to your well-being and creativity. It's also nice to feel the ropes on your skin, therefore clothing is generally optional.

PRICING INFO

As a result of the corona crisis, many people - and also luhmen d'arc - had significant financial losses, while others were earning well and could continue to draw their salaries. We would like to give low-income earners the opportunity to continue attending our events with the Soli-Tickets. For the upcoming events, we cordially invite high earners to support the low earners and luhmen d'arc with a higher contribution and thank you in advance for your understanding and solidarity. We are very much looking forward to future joint courses and events.
