serrat(u)s bodywork is opening its doors to the Shibari community!

The Japanese art of bondage is a fascinating physical practice that offers a wide range of physical, mental, and emotional experiences. Shibari shares many similarities with dance, yoga, and meditation, possessing both a performative and a deeply moving aesthetic dimension. The binder and the bound can shape their encounter in many ways—through a trusting interplay of power and submission, empathetic communication and mutual devotion, and deep connection and intensity. An exciting physical art form well worth exploring!

Everyone who feels like tying up together with others, exchanging ideas or simply watching and gaining first experiences is cordially invited. The bright yoga room is equipped with eight suspension points - some with bamboo poles - so that it is also possible to work with suspensions.

We welcome everyone, from curious visitors to professionals.

FURTHER INFORMATION

ENTRANCE
Entry is back to how it used to be—you can come and go as you please. Enter through the garden and the large red door leading to the studio. Please take off your shoes outside and carry them, along with all your belongings, through the studio into the kitchenette and changing room. You should only bring into the studio the items you actually need for bondage.

DRESS CODE
Rope bondage is a form of bodywork that involves close contact, and the atmosphere is also very important at a bondage jam. For hygienic reasons, but also for aesthetic reasons, we ask that you not participate in street clothes. We recommend at least clothing similar to what you’d wear for yoga, but even better: feel free to be imaginative, wild, or comfortable in your own unique way—there are no limits to your comfort and creativity. Feeling the ropes against your skin is lovely, so clothing is optional.

PRICING INFORMATION
As a result of the COVID-19 crisis, many people—including luhmen d’arc and serrat(u)s—have suffered significant financial losses, while others have earned well and continued to receive their salaries. With the Soli-TIckets, we would like to give low-income individuals the opportunity to continue attending our events. We cordially invite those with higher incomes to support low-income individuals, luhmen d’arc, and serrat(u)s by paying a higher contribution for upcoming events, and we thank you in advance for your understanding and solidarity. We are very much looking forward to future joint courses and events.
