Rope Bondage is for everyone!

However, that hasn't necessarily been the case at our usual bondage jam so far, because often things are quite conventional and heteronormative there - and that definitely doesn't suit everyone.

So now there is the WINTA BONDAGE JAM!
WINTA stands for "Women, Inter, Nonbinary, Trans, Agender" and this particular jam is primarily about creating a space where people who identify as WINTA can just be amongst themselves. So basically it's quite simple: people who don't see themselves as WINTA, please stay away from the event.

For people who want to participate in the WINTA BONDAGE JAM for the first time, the NEWBIE INTRO is obligatory - regardless of whether they already know bondage jams in general. The intro is about the first basics of bondage with ropes, but especially about the basic safety and consent issues as well as how this jam is designed and for whom it is intended. The actual bondage jam begins after the intro.

And what is a bondage jam anyway?

The art of rope tying - called shibari or kinbaku in Japanese - offers an impressive spectrum of physical, mental and emotional experiences. Shibari has much in common with dance, with yoga and meditation, has a performative and a touching aesthetic dimension. As a somatic practice, tethering opens up new possibilities of body and self-awareness, not infrequently with transformative potential. Mediated through the medium of rope, the bound and the bound can creatively shape their ritualised encounter, in empathic communication and mutual surrender, in trusting play with power and submission, in deep connection and intensity.

A bondage jam is not a guided workshop, but functions more like a tango milonga. People come together to bondage with others, to practice, to enjoy sessions, to exchange ideas or just to watch and gain first impressions and experiences. There is no fixed structure, participants are free to contact each other respectfully and openly, to get to know each other and to bond with each other. We are happy to welcome everyone, from the curious to professionals.

With an introduction for beginners

The Intro for Newbies is a brief introduction for first-time participants. It covers the basics of rope bondage, with a particular focus on fundamental safety and consent issues, as well as how the WINTA JAM is structured and who it is intended for.

Sexual orientation, age, ethnicity, physiognomy, ability, neurodiversity, etc. are not criteria for participation.
— We expect you to act in a careful, communicative, consent-oriented and mindful way, and we encourage you to respect your own boundaries and self-responsibility.

— We reserve the right to exclude participants from the event if their behaviour is hurtful or too problematic, and we reserve the right to do so without explanation - although we will most likey try to explain. Participation fees would then be refunded in full.

You can find more about gender/social gender on the following websites: Chri Hübscher, sexuelle-gesundheit.ch, Video-Workshop by Amanda Middleton, Info-Linklist of romanescos.ch

Not bondage-jam specific, but still a lot of relevant stuff about safe spaces & workshops you can read here.

ENTRANCE

Admission to the WINTA JAM and the QUEER BONDAGE JAM is limited to specific entry times. The doors are only open during the times listed above. Entry is through the garden and the large red door leading to the studio. Please remove your shoes outside and take them, along with all your belongings, through the studio into the kitchenette and changing room. Only bring into the studio the items you actually need for bondage. Drinks are permitted in the studio only in sealable bottles.

DRESS CODE

Rope bondage is bodywork with close body contact and at a bondage jam the atmosphere is a very important aspect. Already for hygienic reasons, but also for aesthetic considerations, we ask you not to participate in street clothes. We recommend at least yoga-style clothing, but even better: it can also be more fanciful, maybe fantastic or weird weird or in your own particular way comfortable – there are no further restrictions to your well-being and creativity. It's also nice to feel the ropes on your skin, therefore clothing is generally optional.

MATERIAL

Please bring all the materials you need for bondage yourself—ropes, safety scissors/cutters, carabiners, and rings. There are always one or two bamboo poles hanging on site. We also have a few practice ropes for beginners. However, everyone should generally have their own equipment.

PRICES AND IF SOLD OUT

With our Low(er) Income Tickets, we want to give low-income individuals the opportunity to attend our events. We warmly invite those with higher incomes to help us make this offer possible by paying a higher fee. With this in mind, we thank you in advance for your solidarity.
