“TANTRA” WITH A PINCH OF SALT
— FOR WOMEN* —
*No matter what gender was assigned to you at birth, no matter what chromosomes or genitals you have. If you don't identify as a woman but were assigned female at birth, you are also very welcome.
So you want to learn how to touch people?
To become better at giving pleasure?
Because there must be more to it! – To bodies, intimacy, sex, relationships, to the spirit.
So you’re interested in tantra,
since it seems more holistic, more enigmatic, more luxurious.
But you shy away, because it might be too cheesy, too (hetero)normative, too cult-like?
We get it. We’ve been there.
That’s why we created this retreat.
Using tantra massage as a springboard into the awkward, complex world of human relationships, we expand our understanding of the physical:
We want to experience the sensations of the whole body—without binary distinctions like “male and female energies.”
We want playful attention to detail—without mandatory lunghis and the same old flute music.
We create rituals for embodied commitment—without unsolicited attempts at “healing.”
We create a welcoming space for growth, without predetermined outcomes
Here’s our bold offer: a retreat in the mountains featuring massage, movement, breathwork, theater, and discussion—inspiration for soft, sensual, and intimate bodywork experiences.
THE FACILITATORS
BEATA
She sees her work as a form of preservation for the strange, alien-like, baroque, sometimes hilarious, and sometimes delightfully awkward aspects of sexuality. Her experimental workshop formats are dedicated, among other things, to erotic explorations of laziness or creepiness, blending bondage with massage techniques, or figuring out how to cope with performance anxiety in BDSM play. Her practical, embodied approaches are intertwined with theoretical ones. She is currently working on a PhD project about the aesthetics of consent and has just published her sex-critical book *Not Giving a Fuck*, which embraces the erotics of sexual failure.
REBECCA
is a former yoga teacher, massage therapist, and researcher whose work revolves around relaxation, arousal, and altered states of consciousness. She holds a degree from Cambridge University, where she studied the philosophy, literature, and art of the body and sexuality. She grounded her intellectual pursuits in physical practice through yoga, sexological bodywork, qi gong, butoh, pranayama, and Thai massage, always seeking to understand the language behind exactly what happens when two bodies touch. She brings over 9 years of facilitation experience and nearly 20 years of experience in the fields of applied sexuality and spiritual practices.
THE PROGRAMS
Mornings: Breathing, rolling around, making funny noises (aka pranayama, qigong, Feldenkrais, touch basics)
Mornings: Physical theater, butoh, improvisation, voice, and visionary illuminations
Afternoons: Massage training (quality of touch, creative materials, and a resourceful approach to holes and poles)
Evenings: Group activities, snoezelen, massage exchange, and playtime
THE VENUE

Participants should be open to working with anyone and everyone during group exercises. Exceptions can always be discussed, especially as situations become more intimate.
Couples and other types of polycules, as well as partners and friends, are welcome, but please be aware that we deliberately treat each person as an individual. You are encouraged to respect your boundaries and act responsibly.
It is necessary to act with care, communication, consent, caution, and confidentiality.
We ask participants to attend the program sober.

Gender identity, sexual orientation, age, and membership in marginalized groups such as Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BBIPoC), migrants, refugees, LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent individuals, and people with disabilities are not criteria for selecting participants. However, our resources to accommodate different needs are limited! So please contact us if you have any questions.
Unfortunately, the Cortijo is not very accessible for people with disabilities. Please contact us for more information.
We reserve the right to ask participants to leave if their behavior is disruptive, and we reserve the right to do so without explanation—though we will likely try to explain.
