SWAN

Swan has been guiding individuals and groups for over a decade and has facilitated numerous holistic and transformational events around the world. They have worked in a wide range of settings, including alternative schools, detention centers, theatrical performances, yoga teacher training programs, and higher education institutions.

Swan experienced periodic awakenings from early childhood. They sought to make sense of the mystery of life through the study of philosophy and theology before considering joining a religious community, following in the footsteps of their ancestors—Christian monks from Western Europe and pioneers of Caodaism from Southeast Asia.

Their quest for truth led them to travel to temples and universities on all five continents. In addition to numerous retreats and pilgrimages—ranging from Benedictine convents to Tibetan temples, including ashrams and Osho centers—they studied and taught at the universities of Oxford, Chicago, and the École Normale Supérieure. They published articles on a wide range of topics related to moral philosophy, comparative religion, and political history. Swan worked as a researcher and supervisor at the University of Cambridge, where they wrote their PhD thesis on personal and social transformation.

Having realized that the body holds as many secrets as the mind, Swan attended the Jacques Lecoq School of Physical Theater in Paris. There, they organized collaborative theater productions and led workshops on socially engaged forms of ritual and theatrical practice. They explored a wide range of physical and artistic disciplines, from ballet and floor acrobatics to bouffon and polyphonic chants. In art as in life, their preferred means of expression remains improvisation.

Recognizing that open and vulnerable communication is the foundation of any healthy relationship, Swan pursued training in various psychosocial approaches, such as Nonviolent Communication, mediation, and Circling. Yet their most important skills in authentic relating were developed in the intentional communities where they lived and the political collectives with which they collaborated.

Swan continued their spiritual journey by earning certifications in tantra, yoga, and breathwork and exploring interfaith ministry. Their calling is to empower modern seekers to deepen their connection to themselves, others, and the spiritual realm, so that we may feel at home within ourselves and with the world.

Swan is deeply committed to helping people discover their true selves and to creating spaces that blend safety with creativity, playfulness with wonder, and empowerment with surrender. In addition to workshops and retreats, they offer ceremonies and rituals as well as private mentorship.
