"I do ask myself: why am I turning people in?"
Jade carefully picks up a pink silicone cake mold shaped like half a brain. Inside is a thin white layer, which Jade carefully scrapes out and collects in a small bottle. Then we turn on the microphone and ask Jade what she is doing and why :)
With this audio series, we would like to introduce you to people who can serve as role models when it comes to the question: What do you actually do in a playspace? Because there are many challenges involved. How do I get in touch with people? What should I pack for it? Should I plan something or see what happens spontaneously?
We have been lucky enough to share many enchanting playspaces with Jade, which became so magical because of them. The magic metaphor fits because Jade's games seem somehow alchemical and occult, when tears of joy and menstrual blood are collected from fellow players with pipettes, mixed together, sealed in mason jars, and the resulting homunculus can be admired as it develops the most beautiful mold. And that this is not only aesthetic and perverse, but also philosophical—what does it mean when we allow something to mold in our relationship—you can find out in this one-hour listening recommendation:
