The Japanese art of bondage is a fascinating body practice. Shibari has much in common with dance, yoga and meditation and offers a wide range of intense physical, mental and emotional experiences. This makes rope bondage probably one of the most diverse and, in its performative and aesthetic dimension, also one of the most visually appealing practices in the field of BDSM. Increasingly, shibari is also being perceived beyond the erotic scene as an art form in its own right.
This workshop focuses on the basics of tying up with ropes in the Japanese style. In addition to basic and improvisation techniques, classical patterns and the various safety aspects, we will also look at body awareness and posture, as well as interaction and communication between the partners. In doing so, we discover how the bound and the bound can shape their encounter in many ways, in trusting play with power and submission, in empathic communication and mutual surrender, in deep connection and intensity.
The course, which begins on Friday—see SHIBARI BASICS – INTRO DAY —is also suitable for beginners. It is also possible to book just Friday as a trial day. Those who already know the basics can start on Saturday instead. And it is possible to attend only Friday and Saturday.

FURTHER INFORMATION
NOTES ON THE EVENT
Singles, couples, and people in all other types of relationships are welcome to sign up.
We will switch roles, meaning the exercises will be repeated so that all participants get to experience both tying and being tied up. Couples who do not wish to switch roles may remain in their assigned roles. Please let us know when you register if this applies to you.
The goals of our events are collaborative learning within the group, supporting shared processes, and personal development. Couples and all other types of partnerships or group dynamics are welcome, but you should be aware and open to the fact that the courses are not designed as partnership experiences and that we address each person as an individual. An example: To include all participants equally, we usually work with random partner combinations during the exercises. This means that both same-sex and opposite-sex combinations will occur. Participants should generally be open to working with every person and every body. Exceptions can be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
Gender identity, sexual orientation, age, etc., are not criteria for registration or participant selection.
We expect you to act with care, communication, consent, and mindfulness, and we encourage you to respect your own boundaries and take personal responsibility.
Hate speech will not be tolerated. Please bring "Candy Speech" with you.
We reserve the right to ask participants to leave the workshop if their behavior is harmful or problematic, and we reserve the right to do so without explanation—though we will likely try to explain it. Workshop fees would then be refunded in full. Any further claims are excluded.
We do our best to accommodate different needs, but our resources are limited. Please contact us if you have any questions.

COVID-19 RULES & PROCEDURES
The 2G+ rule currently applies to all our events. Only people who can provide a valid certificate proving that they are fully vaccinated or have recovered from COVID-19 and have also recently tested negative may attend. Why? Currently, in Switzerland, a general requirement for a COVID certificate and the 2G rule apply to public sporting and cultural events—meaning the obligation to prove with an official COVID certificate that one is either vaccinated or has recovered—and there is also a general requirement to wear a mask. The mask requirement may be waived if the 2G+ rule is implemented at an event, meaning access is restricted to people who are fully vaccinated or have recovered and can also provide proof of a recent negative test result along with a corresponding certificate. A current negative test result does not need to be presented if it can be proven that full vaccination, a booster shot, or recovery occurred less than 4 months ago. We do not consider mask-wearing to be practical at our events, which is why we have opted for the 2G+ rule.
Please make sure to bring only valid certificates proving your 2G+ status to our events. Anyone who does not have one and/or cannot present it at the event will be turned away.
For events where masks are not required, the authorities require that the contact information of all participants be collected for the purpose of contact tracing, should it become necessary. This information is collected when tickets are booked through Eventfrog and is mandatory for both ticket booking and event attendance. The collected data will be deleted 14 days after the event.
Visitors are also asked to notify the organizer as soon as possible if they develop symptoms typical of COVID-19 or test positive for SARS-CoV-2 within 10 days of the event.
These regulations are in line with the currently applicable measures announced by the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health. This list of measures is frequently updated depending on the pandemic situation. We will also update our regulations accordingly.
