The sihl13 opens its doors to the Shibari public...

...FOR THE QUEER COMMUNITY!
A NICE TEXT COMING SOON BUT FOR NOW THE IMPORTANT NOTE:

The QUEER stands for the pleasure of queering - understood as a verb - it's about being queer as well as queer performing & bondage, because bondage games often take on heteronormative forms, which is fine, but we want to try out how you can inventively experience something completely different.

The Japanese art of bondage is a fascinating physical practice that offers a wide range of physical, mental and emotional experiences. Shibari has much in common with dance, yoga and meditation, and has a performative and a touching aesthetic dimension. The tied and the tied can shape their encounter in a variety of ways, in a trusting play with power and submission, in empathic communication and mutual devotion, in deep connection and intensity. An exciting body art that is worth exploring!

Anyone who would like to work together with others, exchange ideas or simply watch and gain initial experience is cordially invited. The sihl13 studio is equipped with nine suspension points - some with bamboo poles - so that you can also work with suspensions.

We look forward to every visit, from the curious to the professional.

With Intro for Newbies:
At 1:30 pm a small introduction for people who are participating for the first time. This will cover the first basics of rope bondage and in particular the basic safety and consent issues as well as how the QUEER BONDAGE JAM is designed and who it is for.

FURTHER INFORMATION

ENTRANCE

At the FINTA BONDAGE JAM and at the QUEER BONDAGE JAM, admission is restricted to specific admission times. The doors are only open at the times mentioned above. Please take your shoes right after entering the sihl13 and go with all your stuff through the atelier into the changing room. Only those things that you really need for bondage should then be taken into the atelier.

DRESS CODE

Rope bondage is bodywork with close body contact and at a bondage jam the atmosphere is a very important aspect. Already for hygienic reasons, but also for aesthetic considerations, we ask you not to participate in street clothes. We recommend at least yoga-style clothing, but even better: it can also be more fanciful, maybe fantastic or weird weird or in your own particular way comfortable – there are no further restrictions to your well-being and creativity. It's also nice to feel the ropes on your skin, therefore clothing is generally optional.

MATERIAL

Please bring all the materials you need for tying yourself - ropes, safety scissors / cutter, carabiner, ring. There are always one or two hanging bamboo poles on site. We also have a few practice ropes for newbies. In principle, however, everyone should have their own equipment.

GENERAL INFORMATION ON THE EVENT

The aims of our events are to learn together as a group and support shared processes as well as personal development. Couples and all other types of partnerships or constellations are welcome, but you should be aware and open to the fact that the courses are not designed as partnership experiences and that we address each person as an individual. For example, in order to include all participants equally, we usually work with random partner combinations in the exercises. This means that there will be both the same and different gender combinations. Participants should generally be open to working with any person and any body. Exceptions can be discussed on a case-by-case basis.

Gender identity, sexual orientation, age or membership of often marginalized groups such as BBIPoC, migrants, refugees, LGBTQIA*, disabled people, etc. are not criteria when registering and selecting participants. This means that, in principle, everyone is equally welcome and we endeavor to do justice to the respective constellation and different needs, but our resources are limited. If you have any questions in this regard, please contact us.

We expect you to be careful, communicative, consent-oriented and mindful, and we encourage you to respect your own boundaries and self-responsibility.
Hate speech will not be tolerated. Please bring "candy speech".
We reserve the right to ask participants to leave the workshop should their behavior be hurtful or too problematic, and we reserve the right to do so without explanation - although we will likely try to explain. Workshop fees would then be refunded in full. Further claims are then excluded.

You can read more about this topic here.

For PEOPLE WITH PARTICULARLY LOW INCOME there is usually the possibility of even lower prices. Please do not hesitate to write to us and ask. We are happy if you can be part of it!

Is the event sold out on the ticket platform? Write to us! There may be a waiting list or another opportunity to take part after all.
