Attention! This event is part of the series ROPUNAWA'S KINBAKU THURSDAYSwhich starts on October 13, 2022 and can only be booked as a whole, not as individual events. Bookings cannot be made after October 13.

RopuNawa goes Zurich!

In recent years, the bondage artist from Basel has developed into one of the best-known riggers on the European scene and is also a welcome guest with his performances and workshops at the various bondage festivals and in the relevant locations.

From mid-October, he will be coming back to Zurich every two weeks to run an intensive 5-evening workshop for local bondage enthusiasts who have already learned the basics and want to get serious about getting to an advanced level.

In the courses, RopuNawa conveys his personal bondage philosophy. He strengthens the participants' existing foundation by focusing more on the details of the basics and works with them to develop a deeper understanding of floor and partial suspension work as a prerequisite for later entry into bondage with suspensions. We tie on bamboo, not on the ring.

In addition to technique and safety-related knowledge as the necessary basic requirements for longer, exciting bondage sessions and the avoidance of accidents, the course also deals with references to Japanese culture and various aesthetic concepts. Various game dynamics and the conscious handling of the emotional aspects of rope bondage are also covered. All of this is implemented in the classic and contemporary bondage patterns of RopuNawa's typical fusion bondage style, which he teaches as part of the course.

On each date there are 2.5-3 hours of instruction and a good 1 hour of free tying to practise what you have learned and to integrate it into your own practice with the help of Ropunawa.

GENERAL INFORMATION ON THE EVENT

The aims of our events are to learn together as a group and support shared processes as well as personal development. Couples and all other types of partnerships or constellations are welcome, but you should be aware and open to the fact that the courses are not designed as partnership experiences and that we address each person as an individual. For example, in order to include all participants equally, we usually work with random partner combinations in the exercises. This means that there will be both the same and different gender combinations. Participants should generally be open to working with any person and any body. Exceptions can be discussed on a case-by-case basis.

Gender identity, sexual orientation, age or membership of often marginalized groups such as BBIPoC, migrants, refugees, LGBTQIA*, disabled people, etc. are not criteria when registering and selecting participants. This means that, in principle, everyone is equally welcome and we endeavor to do justice to the respective constellation and different needs, but our resources are limited. If you have any questions in this regard, please contact us.

We expect you to be careful, communicative, consent-oriented and mindful, and we encourage you to respect your own boundaries and self-responsibility.
Hate speech will not be tolerated. Please bring "candy speech".
We reserve the right to ask participants to leave the workshop should their behavior be hurtful or too problematic, and we reserve the right to do so without explanation - although we will likely try to explain. Workshop fees would then be refunded in full. Further claims are then excluded.

You can read more about this topic here.
