SHIBARI BASICS FLOORWORK: CREATIVITY & PLAY
This workshop—which, when combined with the Intro Day, is suitable for beginners—focuses more on the diverse creative and playful possibilities of rope bondage. Ropes on the body and the shapes they create are, in and of themselves, a unique experience and aesthetically interesting. We want to take it a step further by exploring the creative and emotional potential of power dynamics and sharpening our presence in the creation of playful scenes.

SHIBARI BASICS: FLOORWORK—SURRENDER & CONNECTION
This workshop—which, when combined with the Intro Day, is suitable for beginners—focuses on slowness, breathing, and body awareness as the foundation for mindful and trusting contact between the people involved in the bondage practice. Through some bodywork, we’ll develop our understanding of anatomy and lay the groundwork for reading other bodies and understanding ropes as a medium for nonverbal communication. This will allow us to gently oscillate between our comfort zone and our boundaries.
